MEDICINE HAT, AB — Two arrest warrants were issued in Medicine Hat provincial court, after two people facing drug charges failed to appear.

Siofean Coderre, 43, was scheduled to be sentenced on charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of stolen property under $5,000. She was also scheduled to enter pleas on three more counts of trafficking a controlled substance, five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, weapons possession charges and breaching her conditions.

According to Court Check, she did not appear in court.

Coderre was charged along with Paul Rasmussen, 45, on May 26 after the Medicine Hat Police Service’s organized crime team seized more than $33,000 worth of methamphetamine following a short investigation. Police seized a total of 325 grams of methamphetamine, along with 100 oxycodone pills, one gram of heroin, 3.5 grams of cocaine, a replica handgun, a loaded, prohibited magazine and other ammunition.

Rasmussen recently pleaded guilty to 20 charges, and will be sentenced on October 31.

A warrant was also issued for Michael Lariviere after he did not show to set a date for trial.

Lariviere was charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime in connection with a methamphetamine seizure in June 2017. He was among 11 people charged in connection with the crime.
