Evacuation order lifted for Acadia Valley and Empress

ACADIA VALLEY, AB — The evacuation order for Acadia Valley has been lifted.

According to Alberta Emergency Alert and the village’s Facebook page, power has been restored and the hamlet is no longer in danger.

For residents living south of the hamlet, power is not expected to be restored until Wednesday.

Those who live southeast of Acadia Valley are told not to return home until tomorrow, while everyone else south of Acadia Valley are advised to use extreme caution before making the decision to return.
