Prairie Rose School Division trustees sworn in

DUNMORE, AB —The school trustees for the Prairie Rose School Division have officially sworn in for their four-year terms.

The swearing-in ceremony took place Tuesday morning at the school division office in Dunmore.

Stacy Hammel, who was acclaimed in Ward 6, was the lone new candidate sworn in as trustee as Tuesday. Hammel was acclaimed on September 18, and will represent the area of Foremost and Manyberries following the death of former trustee Kathy Cooper in August.

Incumbents Pam Cursons and Arnold Frank were re-elected on October 16 to represent Ward 4, which covers Redcliff, Ralston and Jenner.

The meeting also determined who will serve as chair and vice-chair of the board. Stuart Angle, who represents Bow Island, was re-elected as board chair, while Cathy Hogg, the trustee for Irvine, Dunmore and Schuler, will serve as vice-chair.

Ward 1 (Oyen, New Brigden, Acadia Valley, Bindloss, Cereal and area) – Lois Bedwell and Lucille Hertz

Ward 2 (Dunmore, Irvine, Schuler and area) -Cathy Hogg

Ward 3 (Seven Persons and Area) – Graeme Dennis

Ward 4 (Redcliff, Ralston, Jenner and area) – Pam Cursons and Arnold Frank.

Ward 5 (Bow Island, Burdett and area) – Stuart Angle

Ward 6 (Foremost, Manyberries and area) – Stacy Hammel
