Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – Dec 11

Mad Hatter
The number of racist and prejudiced people in this town disgust me. To the person with a bumper sticker on the back of their truck that says, “Fit in or F*** Off,” are you kidding me? Grow up, open your eyes and realize you aren’t special if you can’t see the value of others standing out and being different; different culture, sexual orientation, race, whatever it is. None of this “fit in” crap. And also, that is so inappropriate to have on the back of your truck.

Happy Hatter
Love seeing posts on social media of local businesses and individuals helping those who are less fortunate this Christmas season. It’s the season for giving.

Happy Hatter
Thank goodness another lying leader is quitting. Around 25 years ago this leader DID NOT allow AB plates into SK to work unless they had SK plates & paid taxes for any work done in your province. So, stop the whining. You remind us of our wannabe leader that spends over 1.5 million in 10 months just to get elected to run as an Alberta leader. Nothing changes with the PC/UCP/WR parties whatever you want to call them.

Mad Hatter
People who have a problem with “Happy Holidays.” It IS the holidays. There is more than just Christmas being celebrated. If you want to wish me a Merry Christmas, fine. If you want to wish me Happy Hanukkah, awesome. If you want to say Happy New Years, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings… that’s cool too because I am just happy you have something to celebrate that makes you proud and happy! I’m tired of hearing this “Christmas was celebrated first so it’s most important to Canadians.” Yeah well, I don’t think our native ancestors who were actually here first had anything to do with Christmas before the Europeans came over, so Christmas isn’t the basis of Canada. Your argument is invalid. Also, can we all realize that Jesus was born in Palestine which means the whole basis of Christmas is based off a man who lived in a Muslim country so shut up about it. No one choses their birthplace. Most of our mothers, fathers or grandparents made a choice to come to Canada and they were allowed to bring their customs and traditions, so we can’t prosecute others for doing the exact same thing. What makes you think you have more rights than someone else living in this world just because you were born into a Christmas-celebrating family?

Happy Hatter
I am happy to live in the best province in Canada. Thank you to the NDP government for focusing on getting us through a horrible world economic crisis these past few years and making us the leading province in Canada for economic growth in the next few years. This is a great place to live and I am so proud to be an Albertan!

More like a sad hatter. When is the travel column getting a new post?
