Tigers downed by Wheat Kings

BRANDON, MB – The Medicine Hat Tigers’ losing streak was extended to five games Friday night.

The Brandon Wheat Kings dominated the Tigers, winning 4-1 in front of 3,487 fans at Westoba Place in Brandon.

Ben McCartney scored twice for the Wheat Kings, while Ridley Greig had a goal and two assists, and Linden McCorrister had one goal.

Baxter Anderson had the Tigers’ lone goal in the second period. Bryan Lockner and James Hamblin had assists.

Ethan Kruger stopped 34 shots en route to the victory, while Jordan Hollett took the loss in net for the Tigers, making 49 saves.

The Tigers, who now sit with a 9-11-1-2 record, wrap up their road trip on Saturday, travelling to Swift Current to take on the Broncos. Puck drop is at 6 p.m.
