MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers have traded Josh Williams to the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The team announced the trade late Thursday afternoon, and will be receiving forward Brett Kemp in exchange.

“We are excited to welcome Brett and his family to the Tigers’ organization,” said Shaun Clouston, head coach and general manager of the Tigers, in a statement. “We look forward to working with him and helping him further develop.

“We would also like to thank Josh for his contributions to the Tigers and wish him all the best in Edmonton.”

In 40 games this season, Kemp has 22 goals and 17 assists for the Oil Kings, and was ranked second in points.

Williams, who was selected for the CHL/NHL Top Prospects game later this month, has scored 9 goals and recorded 12 assists in 41 games this season.
